She came into my life,
from out of nowhere one night,
Unexpected....
and my life suddenly had meaning.
She took me from my feet and into the clouds.
I flew along with her, sometimes barely holding onto the tips of her wings....
but I held on for almost 40 years.
Now she flies alone, in the sky...where she always belonged.
And I am alone again.
